Living in SA with such an unpredictable government, it is a very difficult to answer this with 100% certainty. At first, the cut off date was 2020 but less than 15% of all Industrial Asbestos have yet been removed. An extension will definitely be granted but uncertain until when.

No, there is another option available. However, this option will cost more or less the same as a new roof and you will need a roof clearance certificate done every 2 years at your expense. A rep will explain further.

Very dangerous. The risks occur when the Asbestos becomes old, brittle and/or damaged. The Asbestos fibres then become airborne. When these fibres are inhaled, they do not decompose and remain on the lungs. This can cause serious, even fatal lung diseases.

As unfortunate as this may seem, the answer is yes. There are a number of lawsuits currently in progress regarding this matter. Let’s use 1 example: Your factory sets are adjacent. You have Asbestos roofing or cladding. These asbestos fibres get blown from your premises to a next neighbor. A rep will explain further.

Selling will not resolve your problem. The whole world knows SA has a total ban on Asbestos and any buyer in their right mind will most certainly use this when wanting to buy or negotiate the property price. You will have to discount the fund to replace the roof with a new roof and/or 3 rental they will quote and then deduct this amount from their original offer. By doing your roof first, you will most definitely will get a better price for your property. In most cases, your property value will go up more than what you have spent.

Definitely not. There are many reasons for this answer but I will mention 2 only. A rep will be able to answer you further.

1. You may not drill, cut or damage Asbestos in any form or way.
2. You would not want to spend such a large amount of money and then having to take it all down again at a later stage to remove your Asbestos.
   

Nutec is a very inferior product to Asbestos. We at ACR do not even allow our workers to go onto a Nutec roof at all. Nutec is a very weak product and not worth the lives of any of our staff and/or your staff.

Definitely not. We have 2 teams on site. One team will remove while the next team will come behind them and install your new roofing and/or cladding system. Due to our unpredictable weather conditions we can not and will never leave a site until your roof is 100% completed.

We will and are more than glad to do it. Our biggest job to date was for Shoprite Africa in Luanda Angola. We removed and replaced 18000m2 of Asbestos roof sheets.This 18000sqm excludes all side cladding and structural steel work that we had to do.
